About this Event
Law students at Rutgers School of Law Newark are authorized and willing to represent low income and struggling taxpayers, without charge, in disputes with the Internal Revenue Service. The students, under the supervision of the clinic's staff and directors, can assist those in need with the following areas:
1) An IRS audit of tax returns
2) Conferences with an IRS Appeals Officer or IRS District Counsel
3) Trials before the US Tax Court
The goal of the Federal Tax Law Clinic is to assist taxpayers who would otherwise not be able to obtain legal representation.
